Oscars® 2011: Οι υποψηφιότητες
Σνομπάροντας για μια ακόμα φορά τον Christopher Nolan στη σκηνοθεσία, και προκρίνοντας αναπάντεχα τον Κυνόδοντα (2009) στη πεντάδα των ξενόγλωσσων, η ©AMPAS® ανακοίνωσε πριν λίγο τις υποψηφιότητες για τα 83α ετήσια βραβεία της. Με 12 ολόκληρες και αναμενόμενες υποψηφιότητες, τη κούρσα οδηγεί το King's Speech (2010), και ως πρωταγωνιστής του, ο Colin Firth έχει το πιο σίγουρο αγαλματάκι, παρόλο που το όνομά του παραλείφτηκε από την επίσημη λίστα στην επίσημη σελίδα της διοργάνωσης.
Με 10 υποψηφιότητες αλλά χωρίς καμία ελπίδα για κανένα μεγάλο βραβείο, το True Grit (2010) έβαλε στη σκηνοθετική πεντάδα τους αδερφούς Coen, αν και είχαν αγνοηθεί από τη DGA. Παρόλο που κέρδισε το βραβείο των παραγωγών το Σάββατο, το Waiting for 'Superman' (2010) δεν είναι καν στη πεντάδα των ντοκιμαντέρ.
